Roadshow Materials

Innovative Educational Materials

Our team specializes in creating informative and compelling tools for engaging your community. These tools educate community members on the project while gathering input to build community buy-in and capacity to participate in complex planning processes.

In the City of Half Moon Bay, our unique "scavenger hunt" tool shared information on climate impacts at specific sites across the city, while gathering information on community-members' lived experiences with these impacts.

Mapping for Resilience

We create tailored GIS mapping tools for climate and resilience efforts. Rather than creating large, complicated geodatabases for technical planning processes, we focus on synthesizing data into straightforward mapping tools that community members can better access and engage with. Our approach supports clients in working closely with community to co-create equitable climate solutions.

A key example of our mapping work is the Resilience Projects Mapping Tool for Santa Clara County. This tool highlights the intersection of sea level rise and extreme heat with social vulnerability, and is being used b y project partners to develop community-informed nature-based solution projects to address these topics.

Dacarb Quest Game

Decarb Quest is a tabletop game to uncover effective electrification solutions. The game is designed to build empathy among staff, decision-makers, and community members to consider how programs will effectively reach a broad swath of resident types and design programs for these intended audiences.

In the City of Palo Alto, Council members and residents played Decarb Quest, illuminating key challenges and opportunities to improve the city's electrification programs.

Conversation Cards

With our Conversation Cards, we highlight key information and ask important questions to the community, sparking conversations and a shared understanding of complex topics.

In the City of Campbell, we designed Conversation Cards to gather specific feedback on transportation, buildings and energy, natural systems, and food waste. These cards helped our CBO partners and an advisory committee thoroughly engage the community in small group settings.
