BluePoint is working with the County to develop an action-focused adaptation plan that guides their activities and resource allocation for the next 10 years. This Plan will increase county resilience to a range of climate hazards. The project took a unique approach to adaptation by only including strategies that the County has jurisdiction over or can influence. At each step of the planning effort, we asked: "Can we do this, and is it impactful?"

The planning process has involved extensive public and stakeholder engagement to inform the plan’s priorities and develop effective strategies that address vulnerabilities and build resilience across sectors and scales. The process considers areas that the County manages directly, as well as areas where partnerships will be critical to adapting successfully, including projects, programs, and policies from local to regional.
