The City of St. Louis has recently adopted a Sustainability & Climate Plan (SCP) that creates a path for climate action and carbon neutrality that is feasible, focused, and ground in community. The SCP is a 5-year, community-driven, feasible roadmap to achieve the City’s ambitious decarbonization goals and prepare for climate impacts by building a healthy, resilient, and safe city. The SCP was developed by BluePoint Planning, led by Principal Mindy Craig and Project Manager Hayley Reda, in partnership with Cannon Design, Veridical Group, and Greenwood Consulting.

This plan is centered around three pillars; to promote a safe, healthy, and climate-resilient city; to expand city and community capacity for climate resilience; and to advance energy efficiency while reducing energy burden. Each of the 13 goals are organized under these pillars, with priority actions to guide the city to implementation. These actions are equitable, economically feasible, environmentally beneficial, and implementable.
